Pizza & Paint Party
We had another great turn out for our monthly Pizza & Paint Party! Everyone had the chance to create a painting using acrylic and water color paints, as well as draw their own characters, play games, each pizza and watch movies. It was a great time, can't wait until next month! #artkidsinc
Stippled Bears
We practiced stippling in our painting class. It was really a fun lesson as the kids tried to figure out why we were doing a bunch of dots the whole class. Everyone was amazed as they watched their dots began to come together to make cool looking bears and backgrounds! #artkidsinc

Learning, Growing, Creating!
ARTkids is all about providing kids with all of the knowledge, skills, and tools that they need to become independent and self-reliant artists, however it's still funny to see our student's reactions when Mr. Julian has to step in and correct a technique.
Sometimes learning how to draw or paint in a new way isn't easy but the end results are always great! #artkidsinc

ARTbuddies!
ARTkids is really all about creating a community of young people that love ART! Our goal from the very beginning was to create a place for kids that love ART to gather, create, and make friends. It’s great to see that we are accomplishing that goal! #artkidsinc

Confidence, Pride & Creativity
The process of teaching kids a new way to look at art as they practice drawing and painting is awesome! Every time that we start a new lesson, our ARTkids always see a daunting task before them and some even say "MR. JULIAN, I can't do that" before they drop their heads to the desk. But as we begin to work, first drawing our shapes, and converting them to hard outlines and details, before eventually shading and/or painting they see how fun creating art is!
Through the progress of creating art, its great to see the kids become more confident and determined to finish their pieces all while being silly and joking with their friends. Often before they're pieces are even complete they run out of the room to show off their work to parents and that's what ARTkids is all about confidence, pride, and creativity! #artkidsinc

To Create A Rose
Yes Roses are beautiful flowers but as our ARTkids learned last week, man are they hard to draw and paint!
Our painting class had to not only draw out their large scale roses first but then they had to decide which colors to mix to create the type of rose they wanted. We had blue, yellow, pink, and of course red roses! It was a tough week but our ARTkids did a great job! #artkidsinc
